AMELIA FOWLER

I am an illustrator, animator and maker who enjoys creating strange creatures and humorous narratives, often questioning larger underlying issues. My work is colourful and playful, takes multiple forms and tells stories loosely inspired by my own experiences or observations. My grad film 'This is not what I wanted' focuses on the struggles of learning a new language, highlighting the importance of communication and making an effort to connect with others. I love making things with my hands and have a particular fondness towards the pencil, which I like to incorporate texturally into both my digital and moving image work to create natural and tactile worlds.
