My practice experiments with design through a crafted process of destruction and de-contextualisation. Extracting inspiration from industry, art and science that can be implemented into the everyday is key to engaging creativity, sparking imagination and encouraging a change of perspective on design. Through my knowledge of these subjects, I can apply this approach to new projects that can position design alongside social and lifestyle issues that contribute to shaping the future. Through this method, I work to achieve a simplistic outcome that is readable and comprehensive, allowing an insight into the thought processes and development I have undertaken. My ability to design and readiness to explore different mediums of design can be applied in multi-disciplinary contexts. I find that challenging political, social and environmental influences through design is crucial within my work. I see design as a catalyst to resolve these issues, and I position my work within everyday contexts to challenge the attitudes of society. I recognise a distinct narrative of conceiving and developing a concept that engenders creativity and reflection through a personal crafted attitude. My work follows a chronological order of development through experimentations combining observation and material interactions.
