Hi I'm Gaby and I am a London based illustator and animator. I have recently graduated from Kingston University!

My research interests revolve around East Asian culture because it is such a contrast to my own. The underlying theme to my practice tends to be an issue within East Asian culture that I’d like to raise awareness of and is usually not apparent in Western culture. My projects usually begin by researching an issue or by spontaneously coming across an existing piece of work or article that interests me. Through experimentation of various mediums and reflection of my ideas and thought processes, I can distinguish what the message of my work is and try to make this relate to people who may have had similar experiences. In my third year, I had the opportunity to study abroad in South Korea. This has helped me to gain a greater understanding of the issues I investigate and a new perspective of cross-culturalism.
