ISABELLA MCEVOY

Bella McEvoy is a multidisciplinary artist who specialises in stop-motion animation, illustration and comic books. Though she often plays with humour, she has also worked on projects centred around current issues such as mental health, as activist art is an important part of her practice.

After growing up in Yorkshire, she moved to London and achieved a first-class honours degree in Illustration and Animation at Kingston University. With her love being focused towards anything tactile and hand made, she has held workshops focused on portraiture and zine making, interned for Directors at studios -such as Clapham Road Studios- and created Murals at the Bentall Centre, Kingston. Throughout her education, she has won The Merchant Taylors Award for her comic book Lucid during her foundation year at college studying Visual Communication. She also came second place in the Penguin Award for producing and directing a stop-motion trailer for the book Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
