Londoner, Kirsten Jenna Lee here, a former content and social media executive at Bookatable by TheFork London. Now qualified with a Master's in Journalism, majoring in broadcast journalism while also incorporating an NCTJ diploma at Kingston University London.
Describe me as a thinker, conceptualiser and box-ticker who puts in the hours. Find me doing something creative in my down-time, from snapping the city as a hobbyist photographer to devouring my way through it as a foodie.
Workdays at Bookatable by TheFork involved creating content for email campaigns, social media, alongside managing and optimising their blog using CMS tools to input SEO-friendly, restaurant-centric copy.
While working as a writer for SquareMeal, I pieced together news stories, restaurant reviews, features and social media posts.
Previously, I had work experience at Woking News & Mail, and was the social media editor at the Kingston Courier. I spent two years as a copywriter at an international advertising agency in South Africa, TBWA, working with retail, FMCG and B2B brands to create content for traditional and social media, and after which, I decided to broaden my skill set at Kingston University.
My undergraduate was a BA in Creative Brand Communications degree, specialising in Copywriting at Vega School and I achieved a cum laude or a "first" while also achieving first in my year. My degree composed of modules on branding, marketing, graphic and web design, photography and copywriting.
Additionally, I have completed three short courses on writing content for digital, problem-solving and social media.
