I have been crafting stories for as long as I can remember. Since I was a child, I have been looking at the world through a storyteller’s lens. I see stories in everyday life just waiting to be told and do my best to be the medium through which they reach the page or the screen. I soon became very passionate about multimedia and in particular video making. I started creating videos for my family since I was a teenager and I recently started my Youtube account where I could publish my best ones.

I love to use my creativity to inspire other people. I see journalism as a way of telling the stories of people worldwide who do not have much visibility and therefore cannot be heard by the wider community. For the same reason, I am very passionate about travelling and cultures. I love to discover new places, new trends and I love to feel part of a community while travelling. I believe knowing how to connect and speak directly with people is fundamental to deliver accurate and honest journalism. For this reason, I have always studied languages. Besides English, I can speak Italian, Spanish, French and German and I am planning to learn new ones soon, maybe Chinese or Russian.

I am also very passionate about sports. I have recently held the role of PR and Social Media Assistant at Silverfit, a charity for older people promoting a happier and healthier ageing through social physical activities, I was totally in charge of their social media accounts, posted and retweeted relevant content daily and create new visuals. I also worked on a social media strategy, fundraising, marketing and sponsorship research alongside the CEO.

I also had the opportunity to have a few articles published on a Sport Magazine for fitness professionals (FitPro Magazine). My editor praised me for my creativity and writing style, as well as my attention to details, meticulous organisation and eye to detail. 

Through my degree, I have been able to develop skills in researching information, writing articles, designing pages and creating content for different platforms. I am also proficient with the use of the Adobe packages (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and PremierPro).

I am a quick and insatiable learner. I love to research and discover new trends on social media and online. I also love to learn new skills: during the lockdown, I have self-taught myself how to create digital illustrations with Adobe Illustrator. I am also proficient with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and InDesign. I am a very organised person, therefore I work well under pressure. But at the same time, I like to deliver in-depth researched and more creative pieces of journalism. The fact of coming to live in the UK from another country at a young age made me very open-minded and adaptable.
