I make tin-glazed Earthenware for use and decoration. Everything is handmade either on the potter's wheel or by press-moulding. The shapes I make are determined by their use, the designs I paint on them aim to enhance the shapes. I use a variety of coloured oxides to paint onto the unfired tin-glaze. The sign-writers brushes that I paint with, give a calligraphic look to the designs. I am always happy to work with my customers that want to commission something special e.g. a bowl for a wedding with lettering or have an idea, that they would like to see come to life.
