Zoë Marriott
is the author of ten critically-acclaimed novels for young adults, which have
received honours as diverse as a USBBY Outstanding International Book listing,
an International Reading Association Book listing, the Great Britain Sasakawa
Foundation prize, the Hillingdon Book Award, and a Junior Library Guild
selection. Throughout her career Zoë has run nearly a hundred creative writing
workshops in schools and libraries, and also maintains an archive of writing
advice on her popular blog, The Zoë-Trope.
Zoë was the Royal Literary Fund Fellow at York St. John University for two
years, and is currently in the final term of her master’s degree in Creative
Writing at Kingston University. She believes that to be human is to be a
storyteller, and she is passionate about helping people to unlock their
creativity and become comfortable utilising all the tools of a writer’s craft.
