Matthew Maltas

My name is Matthew Maltas and I am an emerging young fashion designer graduating from the University of Sunderland and I have been trained in both fashion design and promotion. My focus is menswear design and I like to bring elements of art and design from other creative disciplines such as photography and graphic design into my creative process. I create my work using the industry standard Adobe software and I then like to take my creations forward to produce the physical outcome, whether that be printing or the manufacture of garments. As well as my inspiration coming from current fashion trends I am also inspired by the menswear fashion seen in popular culture and music as I believe that some of the most iconic menswear influences have come from past youth culture and the male fashion icons we have seen in music from days gone by.
