I'm a self taught spraypaint mural artist, sign painter and workshop practitioner based in Manchester.
My mural work is usually colourful, stylized and figurative and I can adapt to a clients needs and work to a brief to create large scale bespoke artwork. Some of my clients have included Nike, University of Manchester, Great Northern Warehouse, Harris Museum Preston, Picadilly Records and Freight Island. I can use brushes instead of spraypaint when the design or location requires.
Once in a blue moon I get to do whatever I like with the loosest of briefs and that's where I thrive as I can be more creative with my ideas. Alternatively I am also experienced in helping to create a finished product where there is very little artistic satisfaction for me personally, for example fixing and touching up past artworks/signs/decor for festivals that need to be used again, or copying styles to make new additions to match the old theme.
My skills have been utilised in different ways on decor teams at festivals such as Beathearder, Glastonbury, Boomtown, Kendal Calling, Truckfest, We Out Here, Audiofarm, and Manchester Psychfest. I’ve learned quite a bit about working on site from this experience.
I am also profficient in lettering, to make chalkboard style signs and also more permanent, proffessional pieces that are designed to last for longer. I've made signs for Mancoco at The Manchester Musuem, Mayfield Park, Junkshop UK, Manchester in Bloom, Rocksalt Cafe bar, Zouk tea bar, and some of the festivals I've worked for.
I'm also an experienced workshop practicioner and have worked with young people on art projects through organisations like Z-arts, Unity Arts, Art Battle and Greater Manchester Youth Network. I've worked repeatedly with all of these organisations.
