Hi my name is Beth Lewis, im currently studying my Level 3 Performing Arts course at Poole College and I am very passionate about Musical Theatre and I am on my journey as a Musical Theatre Performer. I love to act and dance but my main passion is to sing. I loved singing from a very young age and have performed on stage since I was 6 years old. I am hard-working and try to take everything on board to try and better my ability at what I love. I try to have a positive impact to any project we have the opportunity to take part in at poole college. I want to have a successful career in Musical Theatre as I could never see myself walking away from a career on stage. The things I have taken part in are, being part of a theatre company called Kidz Academy now well known as Strictly Stage that include all of the above (singing, acting and dancing). I have played the role of one of the blind mice from the Musical Shrek and an Oompa Loompa from Willy Wonka The Musical. I have taken part in singing competitions, dance shows, I have sung at gigs etc. I also was a part of Leilas Performers where I did two dance shows a year. This consisted of many dance styles such as hip hop, freestyle, jazz, pop etc. The shows I have done at my Poole college so far are a children theatre show called 12th Night performing as a narrator and servant. I have also been given the opportunity to play the character Malin in a show called This Changes Everything one of our contemporary theatre shows and been given one of the lead roles in 9 to 5 The Musical as Doralee. We have also done work outside of College doing work experience at The Black Cherry in Boscombe, taking on the role of Louisa and performing as a singer for the show Edwards Gants Amazing Feats of Loneliness. I have also performed prepared songs at 60 Million Postcards in Bournemouth.
