Cheshire Dance

Cheshire Dance is a dance development agency that is committed to ensuring everyone has access to dance and can benefit from its transformative power. It creates opportunities with people of all ages and abilities to learn and experience dance – and develops innovative person & community centred practices and collaborations with participants, audiences, artists and other organisations in the Northwest of England. Cheshire Dance has led the artistic provision and support of dance across the region for the past 43 years – and today provides an extensive programme of community events, classes, projects and professional development training courses for those working in dance contexts. Championed by its partnership with newly established ‘Dance Consortia North West’, in recent years it has developed a specialism and leadership role in Dance, Health and Wellbeing. It is through this specialism and its focused commitment to working with older people, people with disabilities, young people and those in areas of low arts engagement that it is able to reach the hearts of diverse communities.
