Darcy Barnes

Hello, my name is Darcy, I'm 17 years old. I live in Sunderland, and I am a dedicated performer. I'm training to be a professional dancer at Sunderland Bede college. As part of my training, I have taken many workshops with companies such as Southpaw and the Katy Brace company. I am very passionate about what I do, including singing and dancing. I have had lots of experience in dance as I have done These in the past. I have done a few performances in which I joined performing arts in secondary school from year 7 to year 11. These shows include Beauty and the Beast, Aladin, Matilda, Grease, James Bond 007. The performances I did in college was A Monster Calls and I created my own performance as one of my units in acting. I have experience in auditions in school and in college, such as for level 3 in my course and in school for past performances.

my personal achievements are the shows that i have had the opportunity to be apart of such as "IT" and "WE ARE GIANTS".  "IT" was a themed flash mob that the college did at sunny side where around 40 of us dressed up as clowns with exaggerated make up and hair styles. This was in front of the public so we had a big audience. whereas, "WE ARE GIANTS" was a company dance with southpaw in keel square that was again in front of the public. It was based on the history of sunderland and how hard miners worked.
