I am a Fashion Design graduate at the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), who is a keen learner and highly motivated individual who loves to create unique and detailed silhouettes.
During the course of four years of designing, it has enabled me to think more creatively and to accept challenges. I have also worked on various aspects of fashion like sustainability, denim project, craft projects, which has broadened my mind and helped me evolve my design process. Being a creative individual I enjoy the whole process the of creating a garment, starting from the research, the sketches, mood boards, developing the design, creating a pattern, creating muslins, sourcing materials and creating the final outcome. I enjoy exploring and experimenting with different types of materials and fabrics and adding intricate details to them. My creative abilities include technical drawings, experimenting with forms and silhouettes, design developments, pattern making, tailoring.
My major design project is inspired by "MOTHERHOOD", only source to bring life into existence and the most mesmerising aspect in this world. We admire the beauty of a butterfly but it is the ability of the cocoon to provide protection and comfort that does the real magic. The process of metamorphosis inside the cocoon leads to a transformation. Similarly, motherhood is like a resting place for her child. She envelopes the child and is responsible for the metamorphosis of a new life.
