Dominic Almond BA Hons

I am a sound designer, music producer and mixer with over 25 years of experience. My work has been played on BBC Radio 1, and I have received support from renowned Radio DJs such as Vernon Kay, Rob Da Bank, and Annie Nightingale. In my days as a DJ, I have supported popular acts such as Pendulum, Annie Mac, and Eric Prydz on stage.

My passion for sound goes beyond producing music. Gaming has been a significant part of my life since childhood, and I have been exploring opportunities in sound design, recording, and audio editing for games. My dream job is to work in the gaming industry. I am excellent at identifying what sounds are needed to bring a game to life (and how to make them), and I have a keen ear for detail.

To solidify my existing skills, I pursued a sound design bachelor's degree as a mature student and graduated in 2023 with a 2:1 with honours. I continue to enhance my knowledge through ongoing research and education in software such as Wwise.

I am proficient in various DAWs, including Reaper, and I can record and edit sounds or dialogue in various audio editing packages such as Izotope's RX. I have experience recording in a studio or outdoors. I am single with no ties, which means I can relocate for a position, and I am more than willing to do so.
