Gemma Halliday

Hi! My name is Gemma and I am a writer. When doing my degree I learnt to write in many different styles so I am equipped for anything however I enjoy poetry, short stories, and screenwriting. I tend to write darker things like horror and mystery however on the other hand I also like writing comedy and contemporary.

For several years I was a reader for the edge hill prize; reading submissions and recording feedback to help decide the winner. I also did an internship with the gaming company 7tv where I was part of the small writers team for a roleplaying game called 80s: Night Terrors.

On the other side of things I have performed my whole life so I am not only comfortable backstage behind the pen, but also on stage in the spotlights.
