Isla Lindsay

My name is Isla Lindsay and I am 17 and I have been doing musical theatre since I can remember. My love and passion for theatre is something I could talk about for days. Since 2023 I have been taking part in a full-time course in Musical Theatre as a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts and I finish the course in July 2025 and hopefully after my course I will move down to London to complete a degree in one of the prestigious drama schools such as The Urdang, GSA, Italia Conti, Arts Ed and Laine. During my current course at MTS I am taking part in many classes which feature dancing, singing, acting and acting through song.

In the past year so far I have improved and enhanced my skills so much, my confidence and technique has improved massively. Since completing over a year of Jazz training so far my dance style, dance technique and characterisation during dance has developed incredibly. My singing technique has gotten so much better since working on 1 to 1 lessons with my singing teacher, my voice quality has improved loads since working full time to improve this. 

My experiences so far have been very good and I am grateful for the opportunities so far. In 2022 I was in a production of Addams Family with MTS, and I played an Ancestor which was the ensemble characters. This was an amazing experience as it was my first production in a full scale musical. In 2023 I was in a production of Legally Blonde with MTS. I played the Judge and Ensemble. In 2024 I was in Grease The Musical and played the Dance Track. I have an upcoming show in June 2025 which is Footloose and I am playing the part of Dance Track and also playing 'Cowgirl' . I am extremely excited for this as it is going to be a great experience. 

Overall, I am a very confident, hardworking, determined aspiring performer. Whilst working towards succeeding in musical theatre it has solidified my love for it and proven how much I want to do it.
