Lewis Baxter

I am a student at Sunderland College who likes to try my hand at anything I can. I believe its one of my best qualities as i don't let myself get boxed in to one skill set or specific area of work.

During my time at Sunderland college I have done radio adverts and learned how to plan and make an one, but I have also done print adverts for the NHS and Canon. I learned a lot during the production of these adverts like learning to cater a product not only to what the audience wants but what the client wants, as well as creating a final product that I think is the best version it can be.

The next thing I moved on to was the creation of short films, During this stage i learned a lot about filmography and different techniques when it comes cameras and filming. It also helped me with my writing skills as i had to write, direct, film, and produce a short film almost independently. I tried my best to be as experimental as I could so I would learn more during my time creating the short film. I believe if I push myself out of my comfort zones I will always adapt and learn from the experience.

Lastly, I have done work experience for A Love Supreme and Dalton Park where i have made blog posts for both and done filming and photography for adverts and social media posts. this gave me a real feel and understanding for what would be expected of me at a media related job and how handle the responsibility of such a role.  

After my time at Sunderland College I plan on going into further education to further my skills creatively as well as boost my portfolio and C.V to the best it can be.
