LYDIA JACOB

Hi! I’m Lydia Elizabeth Jacob, a South Indian girl, brought up in the Middle East. I aim to be a storyteller that invokes emotion and realization. I try to understand and observe the people around me and use these insights in the best way I can. I’ve worked on projects that include branding, animation, and publication.  

Reading fiction, watching fiction and writing for the same category is something that I enjoy doing, which in turn leads to inspired narratives for which I illustrate. I enjoy travelling, and I try to do so as much as I can, often spontaneously. I have an affinity for the beauty, and the calming depths of the water, probably because I was brought up on an island. It'd be an understatement if I say that I love being in the water. I enjoy experimenting with makeup and consider it to be an art. I'll always be fascinated with the idea that one can change the way they look with just a couple of cosmetic products.

An ideal day for me would be to sit in a comfortable corner, with country music in the background, a coffee mug in hand and with either a book or sketchbook in the other.
