Mick Ronson was a legendary guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, songwriter and record producer, born in Kingston Upon Hull.
He first made his mark working with David Bowie and played on The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars, Aladdin Sane and Pin Ups.
A prolific creative force, Ronson worked on projects throughout the 70s often simultaneously, both in the recording studio and on tour.
Co-producer of Lou Reed's album Transformer with David Bowie, the album is now widely regarded as one of the most influential and important records in rock history.
Ronson released a number of solo albums including, Slaughter on 10th Avenue (1974) and Play Don't Worry (1975).
In addition to working with Bowie, Mott The Hoople and Ian Hunter he played with a jukebox of iconic artists including: Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Morrisey and Chrissie Hynde.
