Paul Duffield

I've worked for a large range of clients, from animation for the Historic Royal Palaces and visual development for the BBC R&D department, to illustration for Marvel Comics and cover design for NASA, I combine a multi-disciplinary approach with a specialism in figurative drawing honed through over 15 years of experience creating graphic novels and animation.

I have a deep understanding of project management and process, developed both in a freelance environment - writing, illustrating, marketing, publishing and even distributing my own graphic novels - and as an employee of David Fickling Books, working in publishing on high-profile titles by authors such as Philip Pullman and Anne Fine in capacities as varied as cover illustration, copy writing and editing, logo design and typography, and the production of marketing materials.

I enjoy constantly challenging myself and pushing my skills and range of experience, using what I learn to feed back into my core passion - the places where art and narrative meet.
