Artist Rachel Blair BA, nee Owston.
I was born in 1978 and was raised on a hilltop sheep farm, in the north of England.
After studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Surface Pattern at The University of Huddersfield, I was now attracted to the bright lights of the city life and the social scene. Such a large change from my country life growing up. This led me into a career in catering management. Then my life was dramatically slowed down due to fibromyalgia and brought me back to my first love of art and back to painting. In 2015 my Etsy shop Granville Studio began.
I gather my inspiration from all that I see and feel in my everyday life.
My choice of artist media is usually inks, due to the boldness of colour, and using everyday objects in acrylic paint to mark in details as well as pens and crayons.
