Robyn Tubman

My name is Robyn Tubman. I am a musical theatre performer in the north east currently studying and working towards my level 3 national extended diploma in musical theatre at MTS in Sunderland. I originally started dancing at a competition school when I was 13 however I’ve done amateur dramatics since the age of 6. Since started MTS college, I have had opportunities to go to dance conventions and events as well as headlining CYD Newcastle regionals. I am a versatile performer who specialises in commercial dance as well as acting. Within my college programme I have the privilege of learning from individuals who are experienced in many areas and career paths within performing, from Film and TV, to live theatre. I was also able to apply this training to my experiences within scare acting, when I professionally worked as a scare actor at the UKs biggest scream park (Psycho Path) in 2023.

To gain further experience upcoming my career, I had the opportunity to work on X-Factor winner Joe McElderrys music video ‘LOVE’ in 2024 which helped expand my knowledge within performing for cameras and gave me a more in-depth understanding of what to expect when working with cameras. I also have the privilege of teaching at my local dance school on weekends where I teach ballet and tap to children aged 2-13. I find this work extremely fulfilling as I hope that I can have a positive influence on the life and career of other young aspiring performers.
