Abbie Saunders

Hi i'm Abbie and I started training at my local dance school Lumsdale Theatre Arts in the North East from the age of 2 years old- 18. During this time I have competed in competitions and championships around the UK including the All England championships in Blackpool. I have trained in all styles such as tap, ballet, jazz, commercial, lyrical and contemporary. As I hit the age of 16 I realised this is something I was very passionate about and decided I wanted to work professionally in musical theatre. I attend MTS College in Sunderland on the BTEC level 3 extended diploma in musical theatre. I am extremely grateful for my training at MTS and have had the opportunity to be cast in shows such as Legally Blonde (Greek Chorus) and Grease the musical where I played Jan and our up coming musical is Footloose where I am dance captain.

Alongside this I have experience in teaching from achieving my pre-associate teaching exam in ballet. I teach children aged 2-18 in all styles of dancing at Lumsdale Theatre Arts and musical theatre at MTS Academy. This is something I am very passionate about because I love to explore with my creativity. Overall I am a versatile performer who is committed to the industry so therefore employable.
