Aimi Cairns

Aimi Cairns is an independent jeweller who creates silver jewellery from her studio in the North East of Scotland. Aimi discovered her passion for jewellery making after completing three-years of short courses at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen. Since then she has developed her practice for over a decade. Aimi is inspired by the processes of silver smithing and the various ways silver can be transformed. Her designs are inspired by the simplicity of geometric shapes, and the shapes and textures found in nature, Aimi’s jewellery is minimal and contemporary; intended for every day. In addition to making and selling her own jewellery, Aimi also hosts creative workshops locally where participants learn to create their own jewellery using simple silver smith techniques.
