Alexander Millington

Alexander Millington is an award-nominated script writer, theatre maker and performer with extensive experience in writing and producing performances for theatre and live performance. He has collaborated with numerous theatre companies across the United Kingdom, developing work which has toured to theatres in Bedford, Brighton, Birmingham, Coventry, Lincolnshire, London, Manchester, Nottingham and Oxford, as well as online performances. He is Creative Director of Split Infinitive, an award-winning theatre company dedicated to creating intimate and engaging pieces of original performances designed for touring to small to medium sized venues.

Alexander is also a Lecturer in Drama and is in the process of researching for his PhD thesis exploring intimacy and sexual behaviour on stage in contemporary British theatre. His thesis specifically examines to what extent physical acts of intimacy and sexual behaviour appear on stage between 2013 -2023, what function or purpose these acts serve in contemporary theatre practice and how the addressing of intimate scenes has developed over this period.
