Beau Belcroft

Beau is a London based ceramicist and designer whose work explores the relationship between mass-production and the handmade. He focuses on the tactile interaction with the user to appreciate the social value of functional ceramic-ware. Stoneware vessels are thrown, distorted and combined with metallic mechanised components, often referencing the dichotomy of materials between industry and the handmade to illustrate our relationship with everyday objects, and how we have become overwhelmed by the mass produced and commercialisation.
