Charley Clements

Hi, my name is Charley Clements and I am a student at Northampton College currently studying a BTEC Level 3 National Foundation/Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance). I have ginger/brown hair, hazel eyes and my height is 5'8. I have been dancing form the age of 4 years old starting classes in Modern and Street styles as fun classes to do each week. As I got older I then began to spread across a variety of styles up until now which include: Tap, Musical Theatre, Heels, Jazz, Ballroom, Ballet, Commercial, Lyrical and Contemporary dance. Currently I would now say I specialise in Commercial, Jazz, Contemporary and lyrical dancing whilst also still training in Tap and Ballet. Through all of my years of dancing I have taken part in many shows and various competitions with my college, my secondary school and dance schools and have also taken examinations in certain styles and all of which have broadened my knowledge and improved my skills as a dancer. I have also been lucky enough to have volunteered at 'Born To Perform' which is an inclusive and accessible dance school for children and adults with SEN and disabilities and have taught and cared for students for the past year. From my time on my course at Northampton College my confidence in myself and on stage has improved massively and also my choreographing skills have developed drastically and I have found a new passion for choreographing which had always been there since the age of 14 but has really been visual this year and has sparked this for me. I am continuing my dance studies next year at Northampton College where I will continue to develop my choreographic skills and my dance/ performing training further.
