Divasifi

Divasifi is a singer, composer and educator who strives to be innovative, inspiring, and unique. A multifaceted music creative with over 40 years of experience in the music industry. With a clear understanding of the industry, through academic studies, research, and professional development, she uses her abilities in continuing to support an often undervalued sector within the global economy. Enriching the lives of audiences, listeners, community group participants and students. She has developed multiple music programmes to support vulnerable people within the community setting and created music for the education sector. Being a multi-instrumentalist allows her to easily realise her compositional ideas, as well as supporting her clients.

After a long period away from Higher Education, Divasifi returned to her academic studies at the University of Sunderland, taking modules in Performing Arts and Music. Due to the ever-changing dynamics of the industry, new ideas and views needed further understanding, and this return has seen those areas of learning filled and expanded. Building on the tentative steps made in music composition during her school years and at the University of Huddersfield, Divasifi has explored her voice as a composer. This has been in fulfilment of modules and, additionally, outside of the university setting as a singer songwriter. She recently completed the music composition of 6 short pieces for an educational project about the environment performed via theatre and dance, to Key Stage 1 children.
