Ella Thornley

I’m Ella Thornley. I am from and currently live in Leeds, UK. I am in the final year on a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Acting at Leeds City College, Quarry Hill. Acting is a life calling for me, choosing this path has awakened my abilities to proceed in a passion I adore and for the past 14 years my skills have expanded massively with the knowledge I have learnt since starting from a young age.

Through building my expertise by attending drama classes such as LM Stage School and Stage Coach I have grown to love the idea of perusing a life of fiction to a reality. From participating in productions within school such as ‘Cinderella Rockerfella’ ‘Matilda’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’ to taking on a more deceiving part in the thriller ‘WaitUntil Dark’ through the company Adel Players. I have also taken part in productions of  ‘Scuttlers’, ‘Darling Your Marvellous’ and amongst many others. 

Over the course of my time at college and my time within the industry, I have learnt to work behind and in front of a camera both for small-scale productions and self-tapes, as well as an understanding of lighting/sound techniques. As for specialisms within acting, I primarily flourish in improvisation, devising, singing. I also mainly focus on the style of naturalism and screen work the most. That’s what floats my boat.
