Art is something that I have been passionate for a long time and thanks to my Alevel art teacher who encouraged me to do a foundation diploma in fine art, has become the thing that I want to pursue in some way as a career. I am now currently in my second year of my fine art degree where I am taking the time to experiment with different mediums to explore new ways of working that would not be my first choice such as sculpture and film.

I am predominantly a painter, particularly focusing in on landscapes of places that I have been such as the Isles of Scilly, the Jurrasic Coast and Wells-next-the-sea. Trees are another subject that I am passionate about painting, the more interesting looking the better. A lot of my landscape work seeks to make the viewer think about the human relationship with nature as I am often thinking about how as humans we like to control everything even when we have no right to. The Climate emergency is one reason for my exploration of this theme.

I also really enjoy painting and illustrating birds beacuse of how different they all are, ranging from colour to shape and size. These two different interests, birds and landscapes allow me to experiment with different ways and techniques of working, theres always something to keep me interested.
