Andrew Gardiner is focused, creative and has considerable experience as a designer and project director. He comes up with ideas, figures out how to make it happen, oversees the production process, provides guidance and maintains communication with the client and team.
He admires objects and spaces designed for people, society and purpose; embraces technology and modern working practices and campaigns clean stylish aesthetics. His direction comes from industrial designers and architects like Charles and Ray Eames, Eileen Gray, Robin and Lucienne Day, Arne Jacobsen, Dieter Rams, Jacob Jensen and Aino and Alvar Aalto.
His awareness of the bigger picture, sense of proportion and attention to detail bring confidence and reassurance to the design process and implementation.
Born in London, Andrew grew up around creatives, art and mid-century modern design. He studied photography before joining T&G Display Studios in London. After a couple of years, he joined Johnson Matthey and for six years managed the groups’ global exhibitions and events. Andrew was an account director with Gardiner & Torne and became a member of the Chartered Society of Designers (MCSD) in 1995 and is a member of the Museums Association and Sign Design Society.
