For me, I found my love for photography in high school. I wanted one subject where I could be creative and let my mind explore. I gained a real passion for the subject, and I wanted to progress my skills.  I think photography allows my imagination to run wild and pushes me to be more creative. Photography is never something I must do, it is something I want to do. I love going out and finding interesting areas and photo opportunities. Photography personally lets me express who I am.  My favourite area of photography would have to be the darkroom because I enjoy shooting on film and anticipating the potential outcomes. The feeling of developing your film and just hoping that the final photos are correctly exposed is quite stressful. However, it is satisfying when you see that they are focused, and the detail is exquisite. I enjoy burning and dodging, it keeps my mind engaged knowing that I need to remember multiple times for different parts of the prints. Split grading is a technique that I enjoy using, I feel you have more control over highlights and shadows, and you can adjust one grade to get a better effect overall. I also have a passion for the studio, I feel that it is complex sometimes but, in my opinion, the final outcomes are more pristine due to having full control over highlights and shadows. Location photography is my sense of freedom, where I am surrounded by multiple photo opportunities.
