Gus Dudgeon

Gus Dudgeon was a highly successful record producer, most noted for his production of Elton John's recordings. His label The Rocket Record Company was formed in 1973 with Elton John, Bernie Taupin and Steve Brown, it was later absorbed by The Island Def Jam Music Group.

In the late 60s he worked with David Bowie on a number of records including Space Oddity. He also worked with Chris Rea, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Joan Armatrading, Ellie Brooks, the Beach Boys, Steeleye Span, Mary Wilson and XTC.
