Hugo Rich

Hi, I'm Hugo and I'm a film production student, graduating from the university of Gloucestershire in 2023. I've had an interest in film, and film editing particularly, since 2015. Since then, I've pursued editing, and hope to reach for opportunities in that role once I graduate.  

My filmmaking skills and passion for the visual arts pertain to post-production, therefore I hope to embed myself in the post-production chain in the future. While my skills and areas of interest pertain to editing, VFX, colour grading and graphic design, I would love to develop my main interest in editing.​Over eight years of work and work experience have provided me with many editing skills and abilities. I am very confident in Avid Media Composer, Davinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Final cut. In doing so, I’ve become highly familiar with Avid Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Adobe Audition. Working with these software have advanced my skills in the world of sound design, as they marry together in post-production.  

With my experience in colour grading I also have become very comfortable and confident in the communication between the editing and grading post-production workflow. Seeing how this relationship is growing more and more in film productions today has given me a more crucial understanding an important pillar in post.  I hope to further my knowledge of the whole post-production process and gain more experience in the area of film I aim to embed myself in once I graduate.
