I am an innate researcher and lateral thinker enabling my creative world to be without boundaries. After 20 years as a full-time professional artist, a readjustment was required as the banking crisis cut many of my funding streams which had enabled experimental environmental issue-based work. A vision of developing a unique company that harnessed the collaborative creativity and skills of myself and my husband, master furniture maker Michael Slaney, followed in 2014. Utopia: The Unexpected Gallery is the vehicle where we present a unique interiors offer, that is a leap away from the high street, and yet maintains our core values: expert design, skilled local craftsmanship, British quality and sustainable, eco-friendly manufacture.
