Jamie Hewlett is best known for being the co-creator of the comic character "Tank Girl" (with Alan Martin) which appeared in "Deadline" - a new magazine featuring comic strips by British artists in 1988. He started the Gorillaz with Damon Albarn in 2000 and their unique approach to the "Virtual band" has achieved enormous success with
six albums and counting. In 2006 he was named designer of the year, 2008 saw him create the title sequence for the BBC coverage of the Beijing Olympics and his work can be seen on the walls of anyone who is anyone in pop culture.
