Jared martin

My name is Jared and I am currently studying Music/ Music performance at a college degree level. As well as studying music I am also in an alternative rock band, which I have performed in front of a live audience with many times.

Having been playing guitars for 9 years I feel as my skills on many different instruments has been built to a level where i could pursue the profession on becoming a Studio/Session musician. In the past, i have contributed some guitars tracks to some different projects as this can be seen as experience, this has helped broaden my knowledge of applying my skills to different genres, and working with an array of different people.

In June 2023 I had finished my level 3 music course now and have a Diploma in Level 3 Music, and now I am studying a HNC/HND course at Tresham college.

Progress Review:

since starting my HNC course, my main goals has been trying to focus on applying my guitar skills to a level where i can look into pursuing a career in becoming a session musician, this has included expanding my knowledge on music theory, having a solid rehearsal routine and learning how to sight read music. I have been researching into many different genres, this is important. as some skills can be specific to genre, so its important to know where and when certain techniques will fit depending on genre.
