Kelly Tyler

Kelly is a Hair and Makeup Artist based in Essex and is currently studying with South Essex college at the High House Production Park based in Purfleet. She is also first aid trained. 

Kelly is passionate about braiding and styling afro and textured hair. She enjoys playing around and trying new plaiting techniques as it allows her to be more creative. She also specializes in wig making, styling and maintenance, casualty makeup, including cuts and bruises, as well as period, and modern makeup. 

Kelly works well in a team and prefers to be early rather than on time to a job. As well as this, she is fond of keeping her kits and station organised so that she knows where everything is placed and is a perfectionist when it comes to every detail. 

During her time in education, she has gained work experience within the film, theatre, and hair industries. Whilst in college, Kelly worked in the ''Phase 2 salon'' so that she could complete her 30 hours of work experience required, she also helped with crowd makeup for the film ''Rise of the foot soldier'' in her last year of college. More recently, she was also part of the makeup team for ''Shrek the musical'' that was held at the Palace Theatre in 2022. As well as this, she also helped her uncle with a photoshoot that required makeup for a futuristic cyborg.
