Kira Louise Atkinson

I am a performing arts student, currently studying my HNC at Sunderland College. Throughout my training so far, I have been able to gain a thorough understanding of the industry as a whole and the skills required to be successful moving forward into specific job roles within it. 

I am a highly motivated and passionate individual who continuously strives to grow and develop their skills over a range of creative disciplines and areas, working collaboratively and constantly wanting to learn new things; this is because I understand and value the importance of the arts and have a clear and informed understanding of how it impacts and pushes social and cultural boundaries. My training so far covers mainly theatre, voice and movement. However, I am also an enthusiastic musician, writer and photographer. These are all skills I have been able to incorporate throughout my projects in uni and that have been beneficial when creating material both individually and with others.

I am also a well known video editor and creator on funimate (500k following) and TikTok (12k following), where I interact and network with a large audience through a range of ways such as livestreams and stories - collaborating with other users on the platforms. 

In the future, I would like to explore career opportunities mainly in relation to the discipline of dance such as choreographing and teaching. This is because I would like to be able to teach and help others find the love for and gain the appreciation I have found for dance and movement.
