Rhianna

Rhianna discovered her passion for the arts at the age of 7. At this age she began teaching herself how to sing. Once she realised how strong her passion was for singing, she decided to try GCSE drama and music studies, which led to an even greater passion. Rhianna has been performing since the age of 14. She first joined a street dance school at this age where she entered shows and competitions for a year, she took private singing lessons at school weekly to train her for gigs at a variety of music venues such as 'The Brass Monkey' 'The Black Market' etc. After Rhianna finished her Drama and Music exams, she decided to study at Bexhill college doing 'Performing Arts Level 3 extended diploma' which is where she found her passion for 'Musical theatre' Rhianna has now joined multiple AMDRAM theatre groups such as 'Blods' 'Hastleons' and 'Sedlescombe' She has now performed in 'The sound of music' as an ensemble. 'Shrek the musical' as a dancer/ensemble. 'Elf the Musical' as a principal dancer, and 'Legally Blonde the musical' as a dancer/ensemble. When Rhianna discovered more about musical theatre, she found a new passion in tap dance and modern jazz. She joined a tap and jazz school for a year and a half where she worked on her dance technique in both tap and jazz at grade 4-5. 

Recently, Rhianna landed her first lead role as 'Matilda' in 'Matilda the musical' at Izzard theatre. As a part of her college project, she was also given the opportunity to take on a job role within the performing arts industry. Rhianna was the choreographer of 'Matilda the Musical' where she created choreography for all the dances and taught them to the other students. Last year, Rhianna was a part of the production 'Chatroom' where she was the stage manager. She made a podcast all about stage management to show her skills within this particular job role. At college, Rhianna also has experience in making props and set for her college productions which has helped to build her creative and artistic skills.

Recently, Rhianna was asked to become an emergency understudy for one of the main character's in 'Fame the musical' Rhianna only had a week to learn all the material. She performed in the show and absolutely smashed it! This showed Rhianna's reliability, devotion and professionalism. She received high acknowledgement and compliments from doing this!

Outside of college, Rhianna has previously had a paid immersive acting job at 'Owens family entertainment' This is helping to build Rhianna's acting skills and confidence. In this job, she was a part of a children's show that happens every 20 minutes. Within this job, she must improvise and perform as a variety of characters. Therefore, she is getting lots of characterisation skills and experience. 

Rhianna has currently started up three different dance schools which consist of street dance, jazz/character shoe work, and contemporary. She is continuing to audition in her AMDRAM groups, and is focusing on her final college exams where she is currently achieving distinctions! Rhianna is looking to find a job in the performing arts industry after she has finished her performing arts course!
