Sam Leatherbarrow

I am a graduating student from the University of Sunderland, studying (BA HONS) Fine Art. In my work i explore the links between music and art. I develop visuals in response to audio files in order to create a visual environment suited to the audio. I began my study developing album covers for soundcloud artists and worked alongside a local producer to help him develop his work in link with his album art that i would create. Throughout this process i learned that music provided me with endless vessels of creativity. I continued creating album art but followed it using 3D design and digital graphics. I also began producing and developing songs of my own so that i could practice creating pieces of unique art for music that (at the time) only i had heard.

Later in my career i began working with companies to develop T-shirts with my graphic designs to raise money for myself and even for charity.  I recently managed to donate 130 dollars in aid of the black lives matter 2020 thanks to this.
