Ian Holm is an actor known for his stage, film and theatre roles, he won the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for his performance in the title role of King Lear.
The most important thing in the face is the eyes and if you can make the eyes talk, you're halfway there.
In 1981 he won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of athletics trainer Sam Mussolini in Chariots of Fire, for which he was also nominated for an Academy Award.
