Sophie Ellingworth

Sophie Ellingworth is a lens-based artist and photographer working in the North East, UK. Using a range of visual strategies such as staged images, self-portraits, documentary and portraiture she has explored forth wave feminism, specifically the representation of women within society and issues of identity. She often responds to experiences in her life and explores the wider cultural and social issues engaging within different communities to get a range of inputs and experiences. Since completing an undergraduate degree in Photography, Video and Digital Imaging at the University of Sunderland she is working towards a Masters in Photography at the University of Sunderland.
