Tony Cragg CBE RA is a multi award winning sculptor, his Early Forms comprised of pieces made from found objects and his later Rational Beings saw an evolution from the organic into the dynamic. He has applied his creativity and vision to just about every workable material and continues to inspire and innovate.
Winner of the Turner Prize in 1988, he was made a CBE in 2002 for services to art and in 2016 was knighted for services to the visual arts.
He has exhibited at key institutions and venues throughout the world including the TATE, The Venice Biennale, MACBA Barcelona, The Benaki Museum Athens, Duomo Milan and the Royal Academy. He now lives and works in Wuppertal Germany and is Director of Kunstakademie Dusseldorf.
