Musical Theatre is a big part of my life. Watching stage musicals from a young age always enticed me wondering, how do they intertwine singing, dancing and acting at the same time when performing? As I grew older, I started to perform in musicals, gaining a fraction of this knowledge and learning how those specialisms worked together. Throughout both school and college, I partook in many different types of shows, from cabaret to musicals.
I am an 18 year old young musical theatre performer. Performing various shows thrills me as I get many different experiences within the theatre industry. Being a trans actor I can play various different roles, I specialise in male roles. However, I do understand that my vocal range is that of a female and I’m comfortable in myself to explore roles of all genders. As well as stage roles, I’ve also had experience behind the scenes in the roles of a stage manager, front of house, and a part of the costuming, props and marketing teams.
Performing is a way I can healthily express my emotions when on stage, as I’m a very emotionally led person and so musical theatre is helping me to put my passion into my work and entertain an audience at the same time.
