Katie Jordan

Katie's passion for acting began at age 8 when she was apart of an amature production of Wizard of Oz, after being apart of the production, she could not be kept out of the theatre as the following year she was in another amature theatres' musical of Mary Poppins. After seeing her first musical in the West End, Lion King it further solidified her passion for all things theatre especially acting. During the years of 2017 - 2022 she attended a Performing arts specialist academy which gave her 7 extra hours of acting, dance and music training a week. During this time she played the cornet, was in multiple musicals and was apart of the 2020 cast of National Theatre Connections Festival for Cockburn School.

Katie is currently training at Leeds City College for her Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Acting. She is very enthusiastic and devoted to her course and always keeps her eye out for any emerging productions throughout fringes across the UK, as well as looking for more playwrights from around the world. She has been in a wide range of theatre productions ranging from plays to immersive theatre pieces.

She writes her own plays and monologues and has experience with directing, choreographing and teaching as she used to be an English tutor. She also has experience with Musical Theatre and one of her specialisms is acting through song as it combines two of her greatest passions, acting and singing. Another one of her specialisms is Naturalism as this is a skill that can help her with TV, film and media work or theatre work. One of her current aspirations is to tour her own work across the country and perform at as many places across the UK with her own theatre company. She also would love to have the opportunity to perform on the West End, Shakespeare's Globe or the National Theatre.

She is currently based in Leeds, West yorkshire.
