I am currently studying art and design at HOW College and I have enjoyed working in mixed media. I have completed several projects where I have explored different materials and textures. These have included, collages, photograms, using found objects, textural relief and constructing dioramas.  I enjoy the quality of 3D and working by hand, as it cannot be replicated and is original and unique. It is also important that I work with materials that are environmentally friendly and I aim to be an artist that promotes respect for re-use and zero waste in my work and the value of hand-crafted skill. I feel that I offer a unique and underrepresented voice in art, through my experience of autism. I am drawn to materials that allow a more personal response to art and gives a view into the personal life of the creator. So I use my own toys, memories and experience of autism as a framework for expressing and interpreting a brief.
