Gary Wood

Gary Wood a UK House Music Producer/DJ whose professional experience in the business is  solid. With a minimal house/deep tech style his compositions culminate layers of innovation  with a commanding and mesmeric feel.  Based in Portsmouth Gary!s musical journey began in the 80’s, energised by early Electro, Music and its sub genres, his inspiration came from classic artists such as, Kratfwerk, The  Human League and Massive Attack.  Becoming immersed in the thriving London House scene he gained respect for DJs like Eddie  Richards, Bushwacka and Mr G. It was while present at club Space Ibiza that he had an encouraging exchange with Mr C which inspired Gary to purchase his first set of decks, the  "Technics 1210!s” and overtime he began accumulating his extensive Vinyl collection.  After gaining his first DJ booking in 2001, his reputation carried him forward to secure multiple events making a name for himself on the circuit.  In 2001 Radio 1 held a "Best DJ” competition hosted by Pete Tong & Mr C, successfully seizing the title secured him a slot at Sub Terrain playing alongside key players such as Mr C &  Ritchie Hawtin.    From there Gary Wood has graced a variety of clubs from "Ministry of Sound to The Egg” moreover establishing his own monthly night "Loki”  It is a known fact that DJs make outstanding music producers, eager to pursue the production side of music, the talented DJ enrolled in University and gained a bachelor's degree in Music Production.  After Uni, he formed the electronic band Pura Luz. On completion of their debut album the  band ventured out on tour performing at various events up and down the country and cemented an appearance at two prestige events, (The Isle of Wight festival and Victorious festival).  Forward to today, Gary Wood continues to make huge accomplishments in music, presenting  his own radio show, he also has two projects in the pipeline, "Pro Track Creations” a service that provides online courses, coaching and advice for House music producers/DJs, the company delivers a professional service that enables artists to fine tune, mix & master.  In addition, his new record label "Freaky Nation” will soon be launched, the attributes of the label will focus on delivering exceptional music.  Gary has fine-tuned his craft; his work ethic is motivational and his courageousness to life's obstacles is uplifting, he champions the best of himself. A man with good intentions, his music is euphoric, once you hear it it’s hard to keep still, there's a lot more to come from Gary Wood.
