Sally Ovenden

I studied 3d Ceramic design at Falmouth School of Art. I am and always have been inspired by the forces of nature, the changing seasons, our natural environment with the huge variety of flora and fauna in the UK, habitats and landscapes of the coast and forests. I create both sculptural and functional ceramics to celebrate all these wonderful creatures (whether beautiful, cute or not so endearing) and the landscapes that play such a crucial part in the cycle of life. I love the challenge or creating something in ceramic and make people look at them in a different way. Using different clay bodies, techniques and glazes has always been a part of my practice
